To use homeopathic medicines more effectively, it is IMPORTANT to know that these natural medicines work most effectively when they are prescribed based on the sick person's unique pattern (or syndrome) of symptoms, not just the “name” of their disease.
Secondly, homeopathic medicines are not like vitamins or herbs. Generally, it is not necessary to take them every day (except when instructed to do so by a competent homeopath). Sometimes, only a couple of doses a day for 1 to 3 days is enough. The idea is to take as little as possible but as much as necessary. Remember, these remedies are “catalysts” to your body's self-healing capabilities.
If you want to treat minor and acute illnesses or injuries
Your results will be more effective and spectacular IF you learn how to individualize a specific homeopathic medicine based upon the sick person's overall symptoms (their “syndrome”).
It is best if you purchase an introductory book that teaches you which medicine to use.

There ARE some books that suggest specific protocols for some of these “more serious or chronic ailments,” but these suggestions are not always effective… in fact, people tend to benefit from “professional homeopathic care.” Still, for some people, these simple protocols are helpful.

PLEASE NOTE THAT IT IS SOMETIMES IMPORTANT TO PURCHASE A HOMEOPATHIC GUIDEBOOK TO LEARN HOW TO INDIVIDUALIZE A REMEDY TO YOU… AND FOR CHRONIC OR SERIOUS AILMENTS, IT MAY BE NECESSARY TO SEE A PROFESSIONAL HOMEOPATH.
